KFC popcorn chicken is something which we all have tasted and they make popcorn chicken in different flavors too. Now we can make those crispy popcorn chicken recipe at home with few easily available pantry ingredients. These delicious crispy popcorn chicken is an easy recipe and you can serve them for with garlic mayo or with the plain ketchup. This crispy popcorn chicken is an addictive and you will never stop with the one piece. It is crunchy with each bite and taste so good.
You can serve popcorn chicken for the weekend party, family gatherings or for kids birthday party. However in our home we are not big fan of KFC chicken. In those restaurants we do not know the oil used and also about the chicken quality and the main thing is they add MSG. So i consider that homemade are always best and it may not match the exact restaurant taste but always healthy.

Preparations
Marinating – You have marinate the chicken with spices, buttermilk and egg for at least 1 hour you can also keep it overnight.
Coating -Double Coating the chicken in Cornflour and All purpose flour makes it more crispy
Fry them in hot oil in medium flame
Serve this hot with any dips of your choice….
Crispy Popcorn chicken / Learn how to make popcorn chicken
Ingredients
- 1 Chicken breast cubed
- 1-2 tsp Red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 tbsp Chili sauce optional
- 1 Egg
- Oil for frying
For coating
- 1 cup All purpose flour
- 1/4 cup Corn flour
- 1 tsp Red chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- Salt
Instructions
- Firstly wash and clean the chicken pieces and cut the pieces to the bite size
- To marinate the chicken, in a large bowl take chicken pieces and add chili powder, garlic powder, salt and chili sauce and mix well
- Then add the Milk and vinegar and mix well
- Cover the marinated chicken and keep it in fridge for 1 hour or more.
- Now take out from fridge and add one egg and mix well
- In a bowl take all purpose flour, corn flour and garlic powder and mix well
- Now take the marinated chicken piece and coat it in a Flour mixture and keep aside
- Add some cold water to the leftover marinade and dip the flour coated chicken in the marinade again
- Coat it in the Flour mixture again and repeat for all the chicken pieces
- Now deep fry the Chicken pieces in hot oil in medium flame
- Take out the chicken once it its done
- Serve it hot
