It is a rich creamy curry made with onion tomato base and panner balls. And its loaded with malai or fresh cream. The term kofta refers to meat balls made from lamb or beef. But for the vegetarian version of kofta is prepared from panner, vegetables and potato. Malai kofta curry recipe can be served with jeera rice, roti and naan.
Malai kofta curry is silky smooth and rich panner based curry, i dont prepare malai kofta regularly because it requires little extra effort has we have to prepare kofta balls and curry. So i usually make panner butter masala or kadai panner for roti and naan. However malai/paneer kofta curry can be prepared for some special occasions or for weekend lunch. The gravy is silky smooth an lightly sweetened because of cream, and mainly spiced as whole spices are used in it.
To make restaurant style Malai kofta curry strain the onion tomato puree after blending.
While maing kofta balls do not more cornflour or maida just add to bind evrything. use homemade panner for best taste
Raisins and cashews in panner balls makes it more rich but you can skip it if you dont want
Panner kofta curry is usually prepared in restauran
