Mutton Curry recipe|Lamb curry|Mutton Salna|Mutton Gravy| Ooty style Mutton Curry|Mutton Recipes with detailed step by step photo. The mutton curry recipe is prepared with whole spices, masalas, onion & tomato. This mutton is cooked in numerous delicious ways. Mutton curry goes well with paratta (kerala paratta, bun paratta ), roti and rice. And this mutton curry is very simple and easy to prepare.
Today I shared a typical ooty (my home town) style mutton curry with homemade curry masala. Our homemade curry masala includes 18 ingredients and it tastes awesome its flavour and its one of our spl curry powder. We usually prepare the Curry powder in bulk and store, my mom prepares for me as it is lengthy process to make. And today I have used onion and coconut as base for the gravy. You can use store bought curry masala as well for this recipe.
We can use chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric , cumin powder and garam masala instead. Today I used shallots(Chinna vengayam) and Onions. But you can use which is available with you.
I used coconut oil in this mutton curry recipe. But you can use any cooking oil. And you can adjust the masala and spices according to your taste. I have pressure cooked the mutton before adding to curry. And for the best mutton curry choose fresh and tender meat, bone in mutton yields a good mutton curry.
