I usually make Potato stir fry or potato poriyal, for poori i used to prepare potato masala or potato sagu. But I thought to make any different curry for poori, and i prepared this yummy potato peas curry with tomato puree. I had some boiled peas (pattani) in fridge, and i used that in this curry. I added tomato puree for tangy taste.

This curry requires few ingredients like onion and toamto puree. The potato is a versatile vegetable. As it can be adaptable to any dishes. Many chats and snacks can be prepared with potato. Since potato is the main crop in my home. I will share many recipes from my hometown soon. You can add whole spices to this curry like cinnamon and bay leave.

Potato curry recipe | Aloo curry |How to prepare potato peas curry recipe with detailed step by step photos. This is an easy to make curry with very few ingredients. And this is a tangy potato curry as tomato puree is added to this recipe. The potato is a versatile vegetable which can be adaptable to any dishes and taste. There are many different recipes can be prepared with potato. This potato curry is one such dish.
– Firstly boil the potatoes and peas and set aside if using fresh green peas then need not pressure cook it. Take 2 tomatoes and puree it and keep aside
– In a kadai heat some oil and add Jeera /Cumin and saute
– Now add Chopped onion and saute it
– Add Ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes
– Further add chili powder, turmeric and coriander powder and saute
add tomato puree and cook
– Cook the tomato puree till the oil separates
– Now add Potatoes and peas and add little water mix well Now add salt as per taste
– Now add garam masala and coriander leaves and switch off the flame
– Serve hot with poori or chappati
