Quick and easy paneer Bhurji / Paneer recipe
Ingredients
- 200 Paneer / cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup Capsicum optional
- 1 tbsp Oil / ghee / butter
- 1/2 tsp Cumin / jeera
- 1 tsp Fennel / sombu
- 1/4 tsp Asafeotida / hing
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 medium Tomato finely chopped
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 Green chili
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric
- 1/4 tsp Garam masala
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- handful Coriander leaves
Instructions
- Firstly crumble the paneer and set it aside
- Heat a kadai with oil / ghee / butter and cumin, fennel and cinnamon and saute it for a 2 seconds
- Now add onion, ginger garlic paste and saute it till the onion turns soft
- Now add chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric and saute it briefly
- Add in the chopped tomatoes and capsicum now cover and cook for 4-5 minutes
- Then add the crumbled paneer along with salt and garam masala and mix it well and cook for 2-3 minutes and switch of the flame
- Squeeze a 1 tbsp lemon juice and mix it, garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it hot .
