Ragi cookies /Millet cookies / How to make ragi cookies/Millet recipes recipes with detailed step by step photos. Ragi has several health benefits. it is a whole grain and gluten free and staple in south india. Finger millet / ragi has high protein and mineral content. For years it has been first choice for mothers to introduce ragi as first food to their babies. In my hometown (ooty) ragi is staple food as we make ragi balls or popularly known as mudde for our regular breakfast or lunch.

Now my toddler likes cakes and cookies and i prefer to make them at home and i don’t buy snacks from outside so i started to explore many millet cakes and cookies recipe. This ragi cookies is very healthy as it contains no refined sugar or refined flour / maida. For sweetness I used jaggery powder. In this recipe I also make Bajra / pearl millet / kambu flour cookies for baby and he loves it soon i will share that in this blog. I had already shared Ragi cake recipe here.

You can use both store bought one and homemade ragi flours today i used store bought flour. In this recipe I used wheat flour and ragi flour. I did not add baking powder in this recipe you can add it if you want. If you are making it for toddler then skip baking powder.
