Sesame crispy cauliflower / Crispy Gobi / How to make sesame cauliflower recipes with detailed step by step photos.Crispy sesame cauliflower makes a great appetizer. Cauliflower coated in sticky sesame sauce and it goes well with rice, fried and also noodles. Cauliflower is popular vegetable in India and so many dishes are made out of it. I use cauliflower to make simple stir fry, cauliflower kurma , chili gobi, aloo gobi, cauliflower pakoda and so many. This sesame crispy cauliflower is new dish to me and i got the recipe from a cook book. Believe me when i say this its super delicious its makes a super appetizer.
Here in this recipe i baked the cauliflower florets in oven but you can deep fry them to make even more tastier. Cauliflower florets are dip in all purpose flour and rice flour batter and then baked or fired and then coated in a sticky sesame sauce. This crispy sesame cauliflower pairs well with fried rice, noodles or just you can serve them as starters.

Sauces ( soy sauce, sriracha sauce)

Sticky sesame crispy cauliflower / How to make Sticky sesame crispy cauliflower
Ingredients
- 3 cup Cauliflower
- 1/2 cup All purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Rice flour
- 3/4 cup Soda water or plain water
- Salt
- Pepper
- Chili flakes
- Oil
To make sticky sesame cauliflower
- 2 tbsp Corn flour or corn starch
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
- 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
- 1/4 cup Vegetable stock refer notes
- Salt
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Garlic Chopped
- 2 tbsp Spring Onions
Instructions
- In a bowl add corn flour, maida, salt, pepper, Chili flakes and Soda water and mix well to make loose batter and dip the cauliflower florets into the batter,
- And arrange it in baking tray and drizzle some oil over and bake it for 15 at 180 degree or until its cooked completely ( alternatively you can deep fry oil )
To make Sticky sesame cauliflower
- To a bowl add corn flour, water, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, tomato ketchup, Veg stock, garlic, sugar and salt mix everything well
- Heat a pan with some oil and add chopped garlic and saute it for a minute and add the sauce mix to it pan cook for a minute in low flame or until the sauce thickness then add roasted sesame seeds and cook for couple of minutes
- Now add the crispy cauliflower florets to it and cook well until sauce coats on cauliflower and further cook for 2-3 minutes in low to medium flame.
- Finally garnish it with Spring onions and switch of the flame
- Serve it hot with rice, fried rice, jeera rice or with noodles
