Sweet buns or bakery buns are something which we get everywhere even in small tea shops it can be served for breakfast and for evening snacks with tea or with bun and butter and also can make burger out of these buns. It is very easy to make with few ingredients.

Once I started making buns at home, I stopped buying it from outside. We like these very much and it can also be stored for 2 to 3 days. Our favourite is bun with butter.  This recipe makes super soft buns exactly like what we get in bakery

– Take warm water add 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp yeast stir well,cover and keep it till it becomes frothy(it takes 10 min) – this to activate the yeast
– In a large bowl take 2 cups flour  and make a hole in the center , add 3 tbsp sugar ,1/2 tsp salt , 1 tbsp oil, 1 egg and yeast mixture and required water to make a dough
– Knead the dough well for 10 min or until the dough becomes soft . I kneaded the dough in my kitchen counter top
– After 10 minutes dough should be very soft and non-sticky
– Brush some oil on top and rest the dough for 1 hr or until it becomes double in its size
– Once the dough has doubled knead it once , take small sized dough make it to ball shaped and place it in baking tray.
– Now close and keep the tray for 2nd proofing
– Once it has raised slightly apply some butter or oil on top
– Place the arranged baking tray in preheated oven for 20 minutes at 180 degree c or bake till done
– Once the buns are taken out brush some butter on each bun
– Hot buns or rolls are ready to be served, serve it with tea or coffee or you can make burgers out of these buns

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Maida/ all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Yeast
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 optional Egg
  • 1 cup/as required Water

Notes

  • You can reduce the sugar if u don’t like it sweet
  • Use good quality yeast
  • Juts skip the egg and continue the process to make eggless buns
  • Kneading it for 10 to 15 minutes is key to get super soft bun

Take warm water add 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tsp yeast stir well,cover and keep it till it becomes frothy(it takes 10 min)
