To bake this red wine chocolate cake i have used merlot red wine. You can use any good red wine to bake this wine cake.

Skip adding salt if using salted butter

Use good quality cocoa powder to get best cake

Use good red wine to get moist wine cake

If you have very sweet tooth then can add upto 1 cup sugar

– Preheat the oven at 180 degree c for 10-15 minutes and take all the required ingredients
– Sieve Flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda together and set it aside
– Take butter( room temperature) beat it with wire whisk or hand blender then add sugar and beat till it turns pale and fluffy
– Add in 1 egg and beat it
– Add in vanilla and mix it
– Now add 1/2 of the dry ingredients to butter and egg mixture, mix it and add 1/2 of the wine and beat it until just blended. scrape the sides of the bowl and mix it and repeat with remaining flour and wine
– Pour the batter into greased loaf tin and pat it once to release the air bubbles
– Bake it at 180 degree for 35 minutes or till the inserted comes out clean
– Invert cake into cooling rack and allow it to cool completely
– Dust from powdered sugar and serve it

To make wine cake

  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 3/4th cup sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 cup All purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Red wine
  • 2 tbsp Icing sugar or Powdered sugar

Instructions
 

To make chocolate wine cake

Notes
