Wash and clean the mushroom and spoak 1.5 cups basmati rice
In a pressure cooker heat some oil and ghee and add cinnamon, Bay leaf, jeera, star aniseed and saute
Now add sliced onions and saute them till it turns golden brown
Then add the ground paste and saute that till the raw smell goes
Add chili powder, turmeric and biryani masala and saute them
Now add tomatoes and cook till it turns soft
Then add curd / yogurt and mix it with the masala
Add mushroom and saute it with masala for 2 minutes
Now add 3 cups water for 1.5 cup rice im adding 3 cups water so add it accordingly and add salt
Once water comes to boil add soaked basmati rice and cook for 2 whistles in medium flame
Once the pressure releases in its own open and serve hot
Serve Mushroom biryani hot with raita
