In a kadai dry roast the urad dal till it turns aromatic it takes 4-5 minutes
Add the urad dal to a mixie jar and grind it to fine powder
In a large mixing bowl take 2 cups rice flour
Sieve the urad dal flour and add to the rice flour and add salt, cumin and hing
Add hot oil to the rice flour mixture and mix it with spoon
Slowly add water and knead it to smooth dough
Take the murukku achu ( shape ) which has holes in it like i have shown in picture
Fill it the dough and cover it
You can directly press the murukku in to oil but you may feel the heat from the oil so press them in a parchment paper or plastic sheet and Drop in oil one by one
Drop the murukku in hot oil and fry them on medium flame
Take it out once they are done
Store it in airtight container . you can store it for 1 week
