Easy Vegetable cutlet recipe / Cutlet recipe / Starter recipe / snacks recipe / how to make veg cutlet/ veg patties recipe with detailed step step photos. Veg cutlet is a delicious snacks and popular starter recipe made with vegetables like carrot, potato, peas and corn. And other ingredients are Bread crumbs, corn starch, maida and oil. I make this easy vegetable cutlets / veg patties for evening snacks and for vegetable burgers. Veg cutlet has two versions one is shallow fried and the other one is deep fried.
- Heat a pan with some oil and add finely chopped onions and grated ginger and saute it till they turn soft
- To this add corn, Peas and carrot and add the required salt and mix well cover and cook for 5 minutes or until veggies cook completely
- Add red chili powder, garam masala and mix
- Add boiled and mashed potato and mix everything well and switch of the flame and transfer it to a bowl
- Add 4 tbsp bread crumbs to the veg mixture ( this helps to absorb the moisture) and mix well
- Make slurry by mixing corn flour and water and set aside
- Take a small ball size from the veg mixture and press it in your palm or you can roll it (cutlet can be made into any desired shapes)
- Now dip the prepared cutlet in corn flour slurry
- Coat it with the bread crumbs
- Heat a pan with some oil and add the prepared cutlets
- And cook on the both side in a medium flame ( alternatively you can deep fry the cutlets in oil or you can bake them in oven)
- Serve it hot with ketchup
