Peanut Chutney podi / Peanut pudi recipe / Palli podi / Groundnut podi. How to make Peanut podi recipes with detailed step by step photos. Palli pudi / Shenga pudi / is a Spiced powder made with peanuts, Channa dal , sesame seeds and red chili. Peanut podi is basically from Andhra cuisine. You can serve this spicy peanut podi with hot rice with dollop of ghee or with idli & dosa. Earlier days I make Idli podi and i always keep stock of idli podi for a quick chutney to pair it with idli and dosa on the busy mornings. This peanut chutney powder is something introduced to me by one of my friend. I got the recipe from her. And the first time I made this Chutney powder we became a huge fan of this and hence i make this Peanut podi regularly.- Heat a pan and dry roast the peanuts- Once it cool downs peel the skin and set it aside- Now dry roast the Channa dal in medium flame until it turns golden- Then dry roast the cumin and coriander seeds and set it aside- Now add a 1/2 tsp of oil and roast the red chili and remove it from the flame- Roast the curry leaves and garlic and set aside- Finally add all the roasted ingredients to a blending jar and add salt and asafeotida- Pulse and blend it to a Coarse powder- Store the Peanut podi in a air tight container
Now dry roast the Channa dal in medium flame until it turns golden
Then dry roast the cumin and coriander seeds and set it aside
Now add a 1/2 tsp of oil and roast the red chili and remove it from the flame
Roast the curry leaves and garlic and set aside
Finally add all the roasted ingredients to a blending jar and add salt and asafeotida
Pulse and blend it to a Coarse powder
Store the Peanut podi in a air tight container

You can add peanuts with its skin if you preferPeanut chutney podi is a coarse powder hence do not blend it to fine powder pulse and blend else chutney podi may turn to paste You can skip channa dal in this recipe
