Cheesy Garlic Bread recipe| Garlic Bread Recipe| How to prepare Cheesy Garlic Bread recipe with detailed step by step photo. It is Garlic flavoured bread with cheesy stuffing. Today I’m Sharing How to Make Garlic Bread at home from scratch. Cheesy Garlic bread recipe can be made in many forms as you can simply do it with store bought regular bread also. You can serve this cheesy Garlic Bread for Brunch or as starter and also you can pack this for kid’s snacks box too.

My Husband likes garlic bread which we buy from store, so I decided to make this Garlic Bread at home. As I make regular bread loafs at home. It is similar to making bread, but using generous amount of butter and garlic for its flavour. I make Garlic bread at least once in 2 two months, but I don’t add cheese all time. As I had Some Mozzarella cheese at home I made cheesy garlic bread. Please don’t compare the homemade Garlic bread with the store bought one.

Use warm water and sugar to activate the yeast.

You have to activate the yeast before adding it to the dough, if you’re using instant yeast you can add directly to the flour.

You can skip the mozzarella cheese and make plain garlic bread.

For more intense flavour I have used Garlic powder but you can skip it.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes to get soft good garlic bread, use your choice of herbs. Please visit all my other recipes.

– In a bowl take ½ Cup water and add 1 tsp Sugar and ½ tsp Yeast and mix well and cover and set aside for 10 minutes
– Once the water has become frothy it indicates that the yeast has been activated (as I forgot to take this pic I attached the yeast activated pic from my other recipe)
– In a large mixing bowl take 1 cup Maida/all purpose, 1 tsp Oil, Salt as per taste and combine all
– Now add the Yeast mixture and start Kneading
– Knead it well for 7- 8 minutes or till the dough becomes soft
– Now cover and keep the dough for 1 hour or till it dough doubles
– Once the dough has doubled in its size knead it once again
– Flatten the dough using rolling pin and apply the butter garlic coriander mixture
– Add the Mozzarella Cheese as grated or cubed in one side
– Now sprinkle oregano and chilli flake
– Fold the dough and seal the edges. Seal it properly else cheese will flow out
– Now apply generous amount of butter garlic mixture and sprinkle oregano and chilli flakes on top
– Using knife make marks on the bread without cutting them fully
– Bake the Garlic Bread in pre-heated oven for 25 minutes and serve hot

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Maida/All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Dry Yeast (any yeast)
  • 1 tbsp Garlic (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • Oregano (as required)
  • Chilli Flakes (as required)

Notes

Use warm water and sugar  to activate the yeast (Water should not be too hot or cold)
Knead the dough for 10 minutes to get soft Garlic Bread
You can skip adding Mozzarella cheese and make Simple plain Garlic Bread
Garlic Powder is optional you can skip it
You can also add mixed herbs
