Ingredients
- 1 cup All purpose flour
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 3/4 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Vanilla essence
- 1/4 tsp Food color
- pinch of Salt
- 1/4 cup Granulated sugar for rolling
- 1/4 cup Powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
To make red velvet crinkle cookie
- Preheat the oven to180 degree and line a baking tray with parchment paper
- Take all the required ingredients
- In a bowl sift flour, cocoa powder and baking powder, set it aside
- In a bowl cream the butter and sugar till they are fluffy
- Add in egg and beat it
- Add in vanilla and mix it then add food color (liquid or gel )
- Add dry ingredients to wet and gently mix it (do not knead just combine)
- Cover it with cling wrap and refrigerate it for 30 minutes
To make red velvet cookies
- Use cookie scoop or tablespoon to scoop the cookies
- Fill one bowl with granulated sugar and one with powdered sugar
- Roll the balls first in granulated sugar
- Then in powdered sugar
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes
- The cookies will come soft from the oven but harden up as they cool
