This is easy and quick dinner recipe this can be made under 20 minutes which and perfect dinner for busy weekday. Hakka noodles are the one of the most popular street food in India. In India you will find shops in every neighborhood making this hakka noodles with crunchy vegetables and egg. Mostly I make noodles for weekend dinner, you can serve it with chili chicken, cauliflower sesame roast or with gobi manchurian.
Street style noodles are spicy and has smoky flavor, i like it a lot however i do not prefer eating out usually so i make street style noodles at home. My husband makes it delicious noodles i can say his noodles is the best one. Today i added eggs in this but you can skip it.
Few tips to make spicy street style noodles
Add the noodles to the rolling boil water
Cook the noodles according to the package instructions
You can also add veggies like capsicum, brocoli, mushroom
You can skip egg and do only with veggies
Do not skip masalas in this noodles recipe as they give that street style spicy taste to the noodles
You can skip chili sauce
Instead of veggies you can add shredded chicken pieces
Street style spicy noodles recipe / Hakka noodles recipe
Ingredients
- Hakka noodles
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Garlic
- 1 medium Onion sliced
- 1 chili Green chili
- 2 cups Mixed vegetables julienned Carrots, Beans and cabbage
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Chili sauce
- 2 Eggs optional
Instructions
To cook the noodles
- Heat a pan with water add salt and 1 tsp of oil bring them to rolling boil, now add the noodles and cook it according to the package instruction.
- Once it is cooked strain the water and set the noodles aside
To make Street style spicy noodles
- Chop all the veggies and onion
- Heat a wok or kadai with some oil, add crushed garlic and saute it
- Now add chopped onions and saute them till they turn soft
- Add the chopped veggies and toss and stir fry them for 3-4 minutes on high flame or till they are half cooked yet crunchy
- Add the masalas and mix them with veggies
- Add 2 eggs mix it slowly
- Add the cooked noodles, salt, pepper, soy sauce, vinegar and chili sauce and toss it gently
- Toss and stir fry for 2-3 minutes on high flame and switch off the flame and add some sliced onions on top (optional)
- Serve it hot with chili chicken or chili panner
